UBC HealthCare Trust Fund Information & Support

Since its formation in 1971, the Fund’s goal has been to provide quality, affordable benefits to its participants, and their dependents, who are covered by a collective bargaining agreement between a contributing employer and the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America or through a participation agreement between a contributing employer and the Fund, that provide for contributions to the Fund.

The Fund’s benefit Plan is self-funded, with the exception of the Plan’s insured life insurance and AD&D benefit, which means that the monthly employer contributions paid to the Fund, as required by the collective bargaining agreements or other agreements, are used to pay claims and expenses for administering the Plan, to the sole and exclusive benefit of the participants and their beneficiaries.
